Gears of War: Judgement coming in March 2013

Gears of War: Judgement, the series prequel from Bulletstorm studio People Can Fly, will be released on March 19. All three entries to the Xbox 360's Gears of War series have commanded average review scores of over 90%.

March 19 will be the release date for Gears of War: Judgement, the series prequel from Bulletstorm studio People Can Fly, while original company Epic Games is beavering away on development platform Unreal Engine 4 and, presumably, something for the next Xbox.

All three entries to the Xbox 360's Gears of War series have commanded average review scores of over 90%, while People Can Fly proved their ability with 2011's innovative and bloody-languaged shooter Bulletstorm.

Gears is not the only Xbox 360 staple to swap studios, after Forza's racing game team Turn 10 gave Forza: Horizon to the speed freaks at Playground Games.

Microsoft is expected to announce and release a new home console in 2013, as is Sony PlayStation; Nintendo's Wii U is expected before December and the Android-powered budget box Ouya has March 2013 in its sights.
