Google Pixel event teased on Flipkart, could be Pixel 3a series
Google Pixel 3a series expected to launch on May 8 will most likely make it to India on the same day. Flipkart teased the same event suggesting the new Pixel phones will be available exclusively on its platform.
Google teased a new Pixel launch scheduled to take place on May 8. The search giant is expected to launch its highly rumoured Pixel 3a series at this event. Now, Flipkart has teased the same hinting at the Pixel 3a smartphones coming to India on the same day.
"On 8 May, something big is coming to the Pixel universe", the Flipkart teaser page reads. Google will most likely launch the Pixel 3a series on the same day in India, and it will be Flipkart exclusive. The teaser page also highlights the outline of a phone further more confirming the new Pixel 3a series. Leaked multiple times already, the new Pixel 3a series will be a cheaper and lighter version of the flagship, Pixel 3 series.
According to leaked renders, Google Pixel 3a retains the same design with no notch and thick bezels. Google also follow the same colour scheme with the Pixel 3a spotted in a faint lavender colour with a yellow power button. There's a single rear camera with the fingerprint sensor placed below.

In terms of specifications, Google Pixel 3a is expected to feature a 5.6-inch display with 1080 x 2220 pixels resolution and screen density (DPI) of 440. The bigger Pixel 3a XL could pack a 6-inch display with 1080 x 2160 pixels resolution and 400 DPI.
Google Pixel 3a series could be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 670 processor paired with 4GB of RAM. On the software front, the Pixel 3a phones will most likely launch with Android 9 Pie out -of-the-box. Google Pixel 3a is also expected to sport a 12-megapixel rear camera. More features on the Pixel 3a series include a 3,000mAh battery and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
