The Google Pixel 4a has been launched and the company has officially teased the upcoming 2020 lineup so we know that the Pixel 4a (5G) and the Pixel 5 are coming. Now, both these smartphones have arrived at the FCC.

According to 9to5Google, the Pixel 4a is A4R, G025J, G025E, G025H and G0251, it is most probably the Pixel 4a (5G). And all the models share the same plastic body, headphone jack and 6GB of RAM.

The smartphone is coming with next-gen cellular connectivity, a bigger punch-hole screen, better processor - the Snapdragon 765G. Along with this there are the dual cameras (regular lens and wide-angle lens) and they also feature support for Sub-6 5G bands.

The models with code names A4R Gd1YQ and GTT9Q should be the Pixel 5 and according to reports, they should represent a model naming departure for Google. These models come with the WPT or wireless power transfer so this means that they will have the ability to charge accessories like the Pixel Buds.

The Pixel 5 is rumoured to have 8GB of RAM and a 4,000 mAh battery and a 90Hz 6-inch screen that's smaller than the 6.2-inch screen on the Pixel 4a (5G). This smartphone does not have a headphone jack either.

9to5Google reports that the GTT9Q (and G5NZ6 for the Japanese market) do not have mmWave and rely on Sub-6, but GD1YQ and G6QU3 has support for both bands and that both sets of devices will take advantage of E-Labels and not feature physical regulatory markings.

Now, with the Pixel 4a (5G) and Pixel 5 hitting the FCC, both phones are set for their US launch. Google did not provide any more details about these devices at the start of August besides the fact that they were coming “this fall”. Both the Pixel 4a (5G) and the Pixel 5 will be available in the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Japan, Taiwan, and Australia.
