Marco Marsala posted on a forum stating that he had deleted all the data on his servers including backups. Even his customers whose data was being managed on his systems was wiped clean because of a silly mistake. But now, it seems that the post was a lie.

Marsala confessed to Repubblica IT that the post was a publicity stunt for his company and no such data loss had actually taken place. While some were amused, others criticised the conduct. "The command that I mentioned in the article is harmless but it seems that almost no one has noticed ", said Marsala.
