Realme set to launch the 'fastest magnetic charger in the world' in India on August 3? Here's what we know so far

Realme has teased that their MagDart Magnetic Wireless Charger is coming to India soon. This next-gen Android smartphone wireless charger is going to be launched on August 3 as the company shared on Twitter. The new wireless technology that Realme has integrated into this charger is called Realme MagDart. The charger itself is expected to come with magnetic snap-on capabilities, almost identical to Apple's MagSafe charger and the MagSafe Battery Pack that was announced recently. The company claims that this is the fastest wireless charger in the world and promises speeds of over 15W.

This announcement from Realme follows the announcement regarding the Realme Flash smartphone that was teased by the company and is expected to make its debut soon with the new Realme MagDart charging technology. We, however, do not know yet if both the phone and the new charger are going to be launched together or not.

Details about the Realme MagDart Magnetic Wireless Charger were shared via a tweet from the official company handle and we know that the charger is going to be launched at 5:30 PM on August 3. “Introducing our next leap! Brace yourselves for the next-gen of Android wireless charging. Bringing you a magnificent magnetic innovation, featuring Realme Flash, and much more,” the tweet reads. This indicates that Realme may launch the Realme Flash smartphone alongside the Realme MagDart Magnetic Wireless Charger. However, Realme has not explicitly announced that is going to happen. But given that we are so close to one launch date, we should learn more about this soon.

The tweet shares a poster for the Realme MagDart Magnetic Wireless Charger that shows a ring-like structure, or one of those ships that were used by Thanos' children in Avengers Infinity War. This also looks very similar to the shape of Apple's MagSafe magnets on the back of the compatible iPhones, the MagSafe charger, and the MagSafe Battery Pack that was recently launched. Just as the MagSafe charger and Battery Pack are only compatible with iPhones that come with the MagSafe tech, Realme's MagDart tech and the Realme MagDart Magnetic Wireless Charger is also expected to work the same way and will only be compatible with phones that come with MagDart tech. The first Realme phone that is going to come with MagDart tech is Realme Flash.

Older leaks suggest that the Realme MagDart Magnetic Wireless Charger is going to be a thick cuboid-shaped charging puck that can stick to the back of the phone. It is expected to come with ventilation holes on the back for heat dissipation. Leaked renders suggest that while the charger is going to connect with the phone wirelessly, the charger itself has a USB Type-C connection. It has been tipped to deliver charging speeds of over 15W and according to leaks, it is supposed to be the fastest magnetic charger in the world.
