Hungama Play annual subscription to be available with a 50% discount on Redmi TVs
Hungama Digital Media Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. on Friday announced that it would give a 50% off on the annual subscription of Hungama Play to Redmi TV users.
Redmi TV users can access the annual subscription for ₹399. The subscription will bring access to Hungama Play's content library of over 5,000 Indian and international films, Hungama Originals, TV shows, 7500+ hours of kids' content and over 150,000 short-format videos across various genres.
The content library also features Zack Snyder's Justice League and Wonder Woman 1984, both of which are available for rent to Hungama Play's premium subscribers.
The scheme will apply to Redmi TVs bought between March 26 and April 12. Redmi TV will go on sale on March 26 at 12 noon across mi.com, Amazon.in, Mi Home and Mi Studio stores.
Xiaomi's Redmi had entered the smart TV space earlier this month with an X-series. The Redmi smart TVs support 4K HDR+ content with Dolby Vision and come with 2GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage. The TVs run on Google's Android TV 10. There is also support for Google Assistant as well as Chromecast. The company has also added built-in support for the Mi Home app which lets users control their smart home devices from the TV screen. All three devices come with a 64-bit quad-core A55 processor and a Mali G52 graphics processing unit. Other features are 3 x HDMI 2.1, 1 x e-ARC, 2 x USB, 1 x optical, 1 x 3.5mm, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band WiFi, 1 x Ethernet and AV input.
The Redmi Smart TV price in India starts at ₹2,999 for the base X50 model. The X55 model is priced higher at 38,999. Meanwhile, the top-end and also the largest, Redmi Smart TV X65 model will be available for ₹57,999.
