Yes, we know, Windows 10 is free — but only if you already run Windows 7 or 8 on your computer. If you're building a PC from scratch or are unlucky enough to be on Windows XP or Windows Vista, though, you're going to have to buy a full retail copy of Windows.

Microsoft has now announced the official India pricing for Windows 10 a day after it launched the operating system in 190 countries around the world. You'll shell out ₹ 7,999 for Windows 10 Home and ₹ 14,999 for Windows 10 Pro.
