Infinix Zero 5G revealed! Dimensity 900, 2X zoom camera, and more
Infinix Zero 5G is its first smartphone with 5G connectivity, offering a lot of midrange specifications unseen on an Infinix device.
Infinix Zero 5G is official! Said to be the company's flagship offering, the Zero 5G seems like a midrange smartphone considering all its listed specifications. It looks a lot like the Oppo Find X3 Pro from last year and has even got certain features that skip most midrange phones these days – a telephoto camera, support for 13 5G bands, and a heat sink. Prices have not been announced yet but Infinix says it will be out as soon as the launch happens in individual markets.
The Zero 5G takes lots of design cues from the Oppo Find X3 Pro, especially with its “Uni-Curve” design that merges the difference between the camera hump and rear panel. Other than two glossy colours, the Zero 5G also comes in vegan leather finish in orange. There is just single storage variant available on this one.
Infinix Zero 5G specifications
The Zero 5G gets a 6.7-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of Full HD+ and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The touch sampling rate is limited to 240Hz and Infinix says the phone can achieve brightness levels of up to 500 nits.
Inside, there a MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset that powered last year's Oppo Reno 6. This is paired with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Infinix is also offering a microSD card slot for memory expansion. The phone runs on Android 11 with its XOS 10 skin on the top.
When it comes to the cameras, the Zero 5G gets a triple rear camera system, consisting of a 48MP main camera, a 13MP telephoto camera with 2x zoom, and a 2MP depth camera. This is one of the few phones that skips on the ultra-wide camera entirely. The front camera has to make do with a 16MP sensor.
The phone relies on a 5000mAH battery that is paired with a 33W fast wired charging system. The Zero 5G will be available in Cosmic Black, Horizon Blue, and Skylight Orange.
Given its specifications, the Zero 5G could take on the Xiaomi 11i series as well as the Samsung Galaxy M52 5G.
