Realme 8i leak suggests a 50MP camera, Helio G96 SoC and more

Realme 8i is all set to be launched in India soon. The device was teased alongside the Realme 8s by CEO Madhav Sheth during Episode 28 of AskMadhav earlier this month. The Realme 8i specs have now leaked online ahead of the launch. OnLeaks has provided us with renders and key specifications of the upcoming phone. The device is expected to be a budget smartphone and sit below the Realme 8 in the lineup. While the Realme 8s is tipped to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 810 SoC, the Realme 8i is said to have the Helio G96 under the hood.

The Realme 8i leak comes from OnLeaks in partnership with Digit. The smartphone could have a glossy finish on the back with a gradient design and curved edges. As per the leaked renders, you can see a triple rear camera setup with an LED flash in a rectangular module. There is a power button that doubles up as a fingerprint reader at the right edge, while the bottom of the phone houses a USB Type-C port and a 3.5mm audio jack. There is also a punch-hole notch cutout in the top-left corner of the display.

The Realme 8i is said to feature a 6.59-inch Full HD+ display and with support for up to a 120Hz refresh rate. It is expected to have a plastic build that measures 8.6mm in thickness and weighs 194 grams. The smartphone could be powered by the MediaTek Helio G96 processor that has two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at up to 2.05GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores paired with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It might be paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB UFS 2.2 storage.

Coming to the optics, Realme 8i is seen sporting a triple rear camera setup. It could be led by a 50MP primary sensor, which could be accompanied by a 2MP portrait camera and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front lies a 16MP selfie shooter. The smartphone is tipped to pack a 5,000mAh battery that is likely to support fast charging out-of-the-box.
