Apple officially confirmed its next annual iPhone event and it will take place on September 12 at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino, California. Apple is expected to launch three new iPhones this year.

Considering the buzz around Apple's new devices, there have been plenty of rumours and leaks on what is to be expected. While nothing can be confirmed, for now, we do have a pretty good idea of what Apple has in store for us.

New iPhones
Apple will release three iPhone models this year - two with OLED displays and one with LCD. All three iPhones will follow the same design language as the iPhone X, which is an edge-to-edge display with a notch cut out on top, Bloomberg reported. With no changes expected on the look of the 2018 iPhones, Apple is expected to upgrade internals focusing on the processors and camera.

iPhone XS
A new "accidental" leak, 9to5mac have their hands on, may have revealed the new OLED iPhone models. Apple's new iPhone lineup will come in 5.8- and 6.5-inch display sizes and will be called "iPhone XS". The 5.8-inch model will be an upgrade to the present iPhone X, while the bigger 6.5-inch model will be a 'Plus' version of the same.

The leak also reveals the two iPhone XS models in a new gold colour variant. Under the hood, the 2018 iPhones are expected to be powered by faster A12 processors. Apple could also finally include dual-SIM functionality on its iPhones. This feature, however, will be restricted to some regions and available only on the OLED iPhones.

In terms of pricing, Apple will possibly continue its $1000 ( 71,000 approximately) mark for the 6.5-inch iPhone XS. The smaller 5.8-inch model is reported to carry a price tag of $800 ( 57,000 approximately).

Cheaper 2018 iPhone model
The LCD iPhone will be affordable in comparison to the OLED iPhones. The cheaper LCD iPhone is said to have a 6.1-inch display with a single rear camera. This iPhone model will come in an aluminium body, unlike the iPhone XS which will feature glass bodies. Some features will remain the same as Face ID integration and gesture-based controls. This LCD iPhone is also expected to be offered in multiple colour options but not the new gold colour variant.

Apple's 'affordable' price tag for the LCD iPhone could be $700 which translates to roughly 50,000.
