The latest e-game from the Rovio stable may be number one in stores right now thanks to unassuming curiosity, but you can bet it'll die out soon.

A shorts-clad blonde teen from whom the game derives its name is a fan of Rube Goldberg physics, which uses a chain reaction between objects to do household work. And, he forces it upon you even though a slingshot would've done it faster.

In the first few levels, there are revolving wooden shelves to pick and hang up on the walls, a ball to be navigated through the planks as it trips some books and other such air-borne obstacles till viola, you land it in a basket with TV show applause in the background.

Remember the ball-in-the basket game you played at birthday parties when you were five? That was far more fun for sure, at least compared to the version that's available for smartphones so far. Then, there are other, bigger 'chores' like these to be completed 'smartly' with complex contraptions created from play stuff, scissors and such bric-a-brac, all while tumbling three stars on the way. Wow.

While Angry Birds is amazingly simple, this one is anger-ingly simplistic. Moral of the story: Angry works. Amazing doesn't.
