Yay! McDonald’s fans in Delhi can order food using WhatsApp
To order food from McDonald’s using this feature, all users need to do is send ‘Hi’ to 9953916666.
Have you ever craved food from McDonald's timeless menu but you were too lazy to go out or use a food ordering app? Well, now there is another way for you to satiate your cravings for Chicken McGrill or McFloat or any other thing that you prefer: WhatsApp.
McDonald's India today announced that starting today, McDonald's lovers can order their favourite dishes from the company's menu using WhatsApp.
To order food from McDonald's using this feature, all users need to do is send ‘Hi' to 9953916666, which is McDonald's India's official WhatsApp number. Once they do so, they will get a link to the menu in their chat boxes. After opening the link, customers will see an interface while placing their orders. Here they will be able to select various items. Once the items have been selected, customers will need to enter their details such as their WhatsApp numbers and delivery addresses. Once their orders are confirmed, an invoice will be sent to them on their WhatsApp number with all the details of their order.
The catch, however, is that this feature is available across McDonald's restaurants in Delhi NCR only. This means that if you are living in any other city, even other metropolitan cities like Mumbai or Bengaluru, you won't be able to drop a message to McDonald's on WhatsApp for getting your favourite items, not yet at least.
Notably, the development comes shortly after McDonald's enabled its customers to access the menu by simply scanning the QR code available at McDonald's restaurants and select contactless takeaway or dining-in service, as per their convenience.
