There's a new Fire TV Edition in India, and it's from the Japanese company, Akai. The Akai Fire TV Edition has a 43-inch display with a full HD resolution. Akai now joins Onida to offer Fire TV Edition in India.

The Akai Fire TV Edition is priced at ₹23,999, and it is currently available on Amazon. It comes in only one black colour. Amazon has no cost EMI options, and consumers can avail free installation as well. Akai plans to launch more Fire TV Edition models in the coming months. It will offer a 32-inch Fire TV Edition priced at ₹14,999, and also in 50-inch and 55-inch UHD variants.

In terms of specs, Akai Fire TV Edition has a 43-inch full HD LCD display with a 60Hz refresh rate. The TV runs on Amazon's Fire TV OS which offers access to popular OTT platforms, games, and live TV as well. It is also equipped with 20W speakers, Dolby Audio and DTS TruSurround.

The Akai Fire TV Edition packs 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. It offers a 178-degree viewing angle, and users can mirror their phones on the TV too. Its connectivity options include three HDMI ports, and one USB port. The TV comes with a remote which has Alexa voice search support, and dedicated buttons for Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Amazon Music. There's also one for quick access to apps.

So far Onida has been the sole Fire TV Edition supplier in India. It offers Fire TV Edition in two variants with 32-inch and 43-inch starting at ₹14,419.
