Two brand new iPhones

Apple announces a new iPhone like clockwork every September, so this is technically 'news', but we'll file this to rumours till Apple actually announces it.

We'll most likely see two new iPhones at Apple's event on September 9: an iPhone 6S and and iPhone 6S Plus (although that's quite a mouthful). Both phones are expected to look exactly like the current iPhone 6 and the 6 Plus — Apple rarely revamps designs with the 'S' versions — so they will have the same 4.7 and 5.5-inch screens and the slim form-factors.

The biggest changes, however, will be on the inside. The new iPhones are expected to include a 3D Touch display, which senses three levels of pressure, similar to the Apple Watch. There might also be a 12 megapixel camera, up from the current 8, and a faster A9 processor.

The new iPhones are also expected to record video in 4K resolution.

A revamped Apple TV

Apple hasn't upgraded its set-top box, the Apple TV, in any significant way in the last three years and rumours say that we're definitely going to see one this year.

Significant changes in this model are tipped to be an Apple TV App Store, Siri support, gaming, and a brand new motion-sensing controller.

The new Apple TV is expected to retail for $149 (the current version sells for $69).

An iPad Pro

Apple is expected to release a 12.7-inch iPad Pro with stylus support, a version of the iPad aimed at power users and enterprise. Apple's largest iPad right now is the iPad Air 2, which comes in at 10-inches.

There might also be an iPad Mini 3, a faster, more powerful version of the iPad Mini 2.

An "Always-On" Siri

You can yell "Hey Siri" at your current iPhone and iPad, but they won't do a thing unless they're plugged in. Thanks to some nifty hardware in the new iPhones and iPads, they're expected to be able to always listen to those two magic words — even if they're not plugged in, which means that you can now use Siri by simply talking to your phone even if it is just sitting on your desk.

Apple Music on Android

Apple Music is Apple's 120 a month all-you-can-eat music streaming service that's currently available on iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad and iTunes (on both the Mac and the Windows). During WWDC, Apple's developer conference in June, Apple mentioned that Apple Music would come to Android in the autumn, so today's event would be a great time to finally release it.
