HTC U11+ smartphone launched in India, priced at ₹56,990

Smartphone giant HTC on Tuesday announced the launch of its latest offering, HTC U11+ in India. The smartphone is priced at ₹ 56,990.

HTC U 11+ will be available on Flipkart starting February 7. Initially, the 'Amazing Silver' colour variant will be available with the 'Ceramic Black' colour launching later.

HTC U11+ features the company's Edge Sense technology, which allows users to launch the camera and snap photos, call up a voice assistant, and open any app with a single squeeze. Apart from this, users can also access Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa2 through Edge Sense, instead of using voice commands.

HTC U11+ features a 6-inch display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage.

For photography, HTC U11+ features an 8-megapixel front camera which comes with HDR Boost and noise reduction technology. The same features are available in the smartphone's 12-megapixel rear camera. It also offers full-sensor phase detection autofocus, the same technology as found in top DSLR cameras.

On the software front, it runs Android 8.0 Oreo operating system, and is fueled by a 3,930mAh battery.The smartphone also has HTC's Edge Launcher built-in which allows users to access notifications and apps with a single hand.

Meanwhile, the HTC BoomSound on HTC U11+ is 30% louder than HTC U11, with richer sound and better dynamic range audio with less distortion. Furthermore, HTC's USonic ear buds contain in-built advanced active noise cancellation, which automatically helps monitor environmental sound levels.
