After a long wait, the day of the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2023 is finally here. Reports suggest that this year’s keynote session can be one of the longest in WWDC history, and exceed the two-hour mark. Leaks have revealed that a range of hardware and software announcements can be made today including iOS 17, a mixed reality headset (which is internally being called Apple Reality Pro), a 15-inch MacBook Air, iPadOS 17, macOS 14, watchOS 10, tvOS 17, xrOS (for the mixed reality headset) as well as multiple other MacBooks. SharePlay comes to CarPlay w/ Apple Music, allowing all passengers to add music to the cue.
AirPlay is coming to select hotels later this year.

Tim Cook said it will be a historic WWDC and so far, it turns out true. We have seen the new 15-inch MacBook Air, a Mac Studio with new Apple silicon, Mac Pros with Apple silicon, and a new M2 Ultra chipset!
But that's not all. We also get new software updates. We have gotten iOS 17, iPadOS 17 with new apps, customization tools and improvements to existing products. And we are just halfway done.

What's new is iPadOS 17?
iPad gets widgets to the lock screen, interactive widgets (such as ticking off tasks) and all the iOS 16 lock screen features including live photos.
iPads will get Live Activities support and the ability to turn on multiple timers at the same time.

No more ‘Hey Siri’. It's just Siri now. Apple improves Siri voice command.
Apple calls the smart home display ‘Standby’
When you turn it horizontally, you can see the time and photos and some widget information so you can access the information from across the room.

iPadOS 17 new features: Stage Manager
According to @analyst941 on Twitter, one of the biggest updates will be coming to Stage Manager. It will reportedly get support for an external monitor webcam as well as audio output source settings. Moreover, users will also be able to stream multiple video and audio sources while the Stage Manager is on and will also get an option for a resizeable dock in external display settings.
iPadOS 17 new features: Accessibility features
Some of the most unique features from the list includes Personal Voice, which is a machine learning-based feature that will allow your iPhone to speak in your own voice. Another feature is Live Speech which enables users to type what they want to say to have it be spoken out loud during phone and FaceTime calls as well as in-person conversations. Essentially, it is a text-to-speech app.

According to an anonymous leaker on Twitter known only as @analyst941, Apple could introduce a new home screen layout with the watchOS 10 update. The leaker claims that the new layout will be easier to navigate and could bring iOS-like characteristics including folders for apps.

Since the launch of the first Apple Watch in 2015, there have been little to no changes to the watchOS interface. But that is set to change with watchOS 10 as Apple will reportedly introduce widgets. Gurman claims that widgets will be comparable to the Glances that were part of earlier watchOS versions and although it will be “reminiscent” of the Siri watch face, it will work with any Apple Watch face.
