Call of Duty Mobile Season 9 is finally here. The latest update brings new content, modes, bug fixes, and improvements among others. The CoD Mobile Season 9 update is available to both Android and iOS users.

How to play the Season 9?

The latest season is available through an update on Google Play Store (for Android). The update is over 1GB in size, therefore, we recommend you to use Wi-Fi to save your mobile data. Once you've installed the update, you will have to make additional in-app downloads to get started with the ranked matches maps and other features.

What's new in Season 9

Shipment 1944

One of the biggest highlights of the Season 9 update is the arrival of Shipment 1944 map. Another Call of Duty Classic, the map is very small in size. Shipment supports Team Death Match, Domination, Free-For-All, Hardpoint, Gunfight, Ultra Rapid Fire, 1v1, Kill Confirmed, Team Death Match 10v10.

We have played Hardpoint and Domination modes (non-ranked matches) in the new map so far. We recommend you to use lighter weapons which helps you move faster. Shotguns can also be useful on the map. We will also advise you to use scorestreaks in the match more often and quickly to maintain the momentum.

Gunsmith

Players can now choose from several attachments to personalise their weapons. The Gunsmith also gives you a better interface to personalise your weapons. Call of Duty Mobile has also made some changes to the weapons format you have collected so far. For instance, Legendary and Epic weapons are now Blueprints. Rare and Uncommon weapons are now camo options. Some of the items available for further personalisation are charms, stickers, reticles, and grindable camos.

Gunsmith indeed lets you personalise almost every weapon. A detailed interface makes it easier to know what changes you're making to the weapon. That said, you may need to upgrade some of your guns. Ensure you do not run out of XPs while doing so.

Ranked series 6

Scheduled to roll out later today, Call of Duty Mobile will have a new ranked match series. The new season will also see the debut of Tengu – Undead Crusade soldier, Bomber frame, and QQ9- Eye Candy epic blueprint.

10v10

Soon, you will be able to play longer 10v10 matches. It will be available for multiplayer users. Modes supported are Team Deathmatch and Domination. You can play 10v10 in Shipment, Takeoff, Meltdown, and Crossfire maps.

Battle Royale

For Battle Royale players, the new update brings an expanded map with four new areas to explore: Outpost, Dormitory, Radar Base, and Campground. Thes updated map also has a new armor plate item. You can use the armor plate to repair damaged armor. This will help you stay in a game for a longer period of time.

Shield Turret

At Tier 14, all Call of Duty Mobile players will unlock the new Shield Turret Scorestreak. The new weapon allows users to blast enemies from behind its built-in cover.

At Tier 21, you will be eligible for the Kilo Bolt-Action. It is essentially a new functional weapon which makes mobility easier as well as helps get one-shot kill.

As you move up in tiers, you will unlock items such as rare RUS-79U – Obstacle (Tier 36) and BY15– Obstacle (Tier 41), and a new Toy Soldier weapon charm (at Tier 46).
