However, publisher Garena has not had time to celebrate as it is working towards releasing a new version of the popular battle royale game. Titled Garena Free Fire Max, the upcoming game has been teased several times over the past few weeks and now gamers have a concrete release date for the game after Garena made an official announcement on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, Garena announced that the upcoming Free Fire Max game would arrive at the end of the month. “After many months of preparation, we are finally ready to launch our special product. The Free Fire Max will be available globally on Google Play and App Stores on the 28th of September!” the company stated on its social media channels.

Garena Free Fire Max is expected to come with enhanced visuals, graphics, effects and maps, while aligning with the core concepts of the original Free Fire game that has been the highest-grossing action game on the Play Store for several months now. The upcoming game's description on the Play Store states that it is designed to “designed exclusively to deliver premium gameplay experience in a Battle Royale”. Players will be able to play in HD resolution, while enjoying the same survival game format that rewards the last player standing.

A few weeks ago, Garena Free Fire Max pre-registrations have started and gamers will finally be able to get their hands on the game within a week's time. Pre-registering for the game will grant gamers special rewards when the game is officially released on both platforms, including costumes that can be equipped in the game. Gamers who choose to pre-register for the game can also choose to have the game automatically download in the background when it is released, so they can get started as soon as it is ready.
