Panasonic India on Wednesday launched a new camera for vloggers and content producers in India. The newly launched Lumix G100 is a part of the company’s Lumix G series mirrorless cameras and it costs 58,990 for the variant without the grip and 67,990 for the variant with the grip and it will be available for purchase on Amazon India starting today.

Coming to the features, the new Lumix G100 mirrorless camera comes with a 20.3-megapixel MOS Sensor without Low Pass Filter, which the company says features higher resolution and a larger size than found in smartphones. It offers a sensitivity of up to 25600 ISO, which makes the images captured at night or low light clear. It has a 5-Axis Hybrid image stabilizer that provides effective shake suppression under wide-ranging situations such as recording while walking or riding on a moving vehicle for stable, easy-to-see video.

Panasonic says that users can record a wide variety of videos such as 4x*/2x slow, 8x/4x/2x quick FHD motion footage and time-lapse shots using this camera. Additionally, vloggers looking for advanced capabilities can also use its V-LogL recording capability. Users can apply the LUT (Look Up Table) of their choice on the recorded V-LogL footage via a PC to create a differentiated video with subtle colours and moods.

On the audio front, the Lumix G100 comes with OZO Audio by Nokia that offers high-quality spatial audio recording. It comes with three microphones that are capable of recording clear, vibrant sound with outstanding images. The company says that combining Panasonic and Nokia OZO Audio technologies, the LUMIX G100 also offers a tracking feature that continues tracking the voice of the subject. Additionally, there’s an auto mode that automatically recognises the best setting and switches between tracking and surround modes.

On the connectivity front, the Lumix G100 is packed with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 2.4GHz. It has a dedicated upload button that controls video and photo transfer to a smartphone via Panasonic's Lumix Sync app for iOS and Android. Users can also use their smartphone as a remote control to capture video and photo.
