Xiaomi entered the laptop segment with the launch of its Mi Notebook. While the laptop offered plenty of power in the segment, it missed out on some crucial features including a backlit keyboard and an integrated webcam. The company seems to be looking to refresh the lineup and offer all these features with the new laptop. The upcoming Xiaomi Mi Notebook has been teased by Raghu Reddy, Chief Business Officer, Xiaomi India. He revealed a six-second long teaser, which confirms the presence of some crucial features. Moreover, Xiaomi posted another teaser that reveals that the upcoming Mi Notebook will have Windows Hello as well as a fingerprint scanner for authentication.

Raghu revealed a teaser that confirms the presence of a backlit keyboard along with an integrated webcam. To recall, both of these features were missing in the previous generation of Mi Notebook even when they have now become quite common on budget laptops. Other than these features, the next Mi Notebook could feature a 15-inch display with a 2K resolution and a 120Hz high refresh rate. While Xiaomi hasn't confirmed any of the specifications yet, Karthik M S, Marketing lead, Mi India has shared that the upcoming laptop is:

1. Close to the Golden Ratio

2. Best of both worlds – productivity and entertainment

3. Offers 5% more vertical space compared to most laptops with a 16:9 display.

The upcoming Mi Notebook will also have support for Windows Hello. Moreover, it will come equipped with a fingerprint scanner for authentication purposes. According to leaks, there could also be a Mi Notebook Ultra. This device could feature a 15-inch 3.5K display, up to Intel Core i7 11th gen processor, 512GB SSD and the Nvidia RTX 3050Ti GPU. However, there is nothing officially confirmed for the Ultra variant.
