MediaTek 1000+ 5G SoC-based phones to launch in India in early 2021
Dimensity 1000+ is MediaTek’s flagship SoC and comes with a 5G-integrated chip.
MediaTek is gearing up for the next wave of 5G handsets that will hit the market next year. The chipset giant is also focusing on India as the company is expecting Dimensity 1000+ 5G chip-based phones to be available early 2021.

Our flagship-grade MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ will deliver premium experiences as Indian telecom authorities move to quickly deploy 5G in the country,” said Dr Yenchi Lee, Deputy General Manager of MediaTek's Wireless Communications Business Unit.

In case you did not know, MediaTek had launched its flagship Dimensity 1000+ chipset earlier this year. The mobile processor comes with a 5G-integrated chip. Based on 7nm process, MediaTek claims its Dimensity 1000+ is the world's most advanced 5G SoC. The chipset also supports 5G capabilities such as 5G SIM, carrier aggregation (2CC 5G-CA), and MediaTek's 5G UltraSave power-saving technology.

Other features of MediaTek Dimensity 1000 series chips are HyperEngin 2.0 (for improved network experience), Arm Cortex-A77 CPU x 4, Arm Cortex-A55 CPU x 4, Arm Mali-G77 GPU, up to 144Hz ultra-fast refresh rate displays, AV1 hardware decoding, multi-exposure 4K HDR video, Wi-Fi 6, up to 16GB LPDDR4x, UFS 2.2, and Bluetooth 5.1.
Some of the phones that already run on MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ chip are Realme X7 Pro, Xiaomi Redmi K30 Ultra, and iQOO Z1 5G.
