Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked event is happening on February 1 and we are going to see the Galaxy S23 series. The leaks and teasers have revealed a big design change for the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus, as well as a couple of changes underneath. The Galaxy S23 Ultra, on the other hand, seems to get little changes when compared to the older model. However, a new leak now suggests quality of life improvements over the outgoing model.

Popular tipster Ice Universe has revealed a couple of details on the Galaxy S23 Ultra that could get several fans or owners of the Galaxy S22 Ultra wanting the newer model. So far, it is known that the Galaxy S23 Ultra will get a new 200MP camera sensor and a boosted Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. The tipster says that the new camera sensor also eliminates the issue of focus, which was an issue with the 108MP camera sensor.

Galaxy S23 Ultra upgrades detailed

The 108MP camera sensor first surfaced on the Galaxy S20 Ultra and has serious issues with focusing. Samsung solved the issue to an extent with software updates and the later versions of the Ultra had tweaked cameras to overcome the issue. With the new 200MP camera sensor, Samsung is now said to have improved the focus hunting issue.

The stabilisation of the camera has also been improved to a larger extent, says the tip. The speaker quality on the loudspeaker is also said to be improved with more focus on bass performance. Samsung is also said to improve the microphone on the handset, which should help with video recording.

Of course, these are just leaks and we need to wait for an official confirmation from Samsung, as well as conduct our own tests for the review. With the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro not being the strongest contenders from Apple this year, Samsung has a real chance to nab the market share before much hyped iPhone 15 launches later this September. Note that Samsung has already started the pre-reserve for the Galaxy S23 series in India before its launch on February 1.
