After the surprise exit of Jack Dorsey and the quick appointment of Parag Agrawal as the new CEO, a number of high profile execs from other companies rushed to Twitter to welcome the move or generally comment on how the Indian diaspora was helping these companies ramp up their performances. Among these were Tesla and SpaceX chief Elon Musk, Google chief Sundar Pichai, and Mahindra & Mahindra chief Anand Mahindra.

Quickly off the mark was Elon Musk who linked up to the thread started by Stripe CEO Patrick Collison when he tweeted, "Google, Microsoft, Adobe, IBM, Palo Alto Networks, and now Twitter run by CEOs who grew up in India. Wonderful to watch the amazing success of Indians in the technology world and a good reminder of the opportunity America offers to immigrants. 🇮🇳🇺🇸 (Congrats, @paraga!)"

Elon Musk reverted to this tweet by Collison by widening the canvas of praise further. Musk tweeted, "USA benefits greatly from Indian talent!"

Keeping things straight was India origin chief of Google, Sundar Pichai who, sticking to his reticent character, tweeted his congratulations by saying, "Wishing you the very best ahead @jack, and congrats @paraga and @btaylor - excited for Twitter's future!"

In these short words by Pichai can be seen that the Google CEO expects good things to happen at Twitter going forward under Parag Agrawal's stewardship.

Anand Mahindra too reacted to the tweet by Collison and he put it more into the context of the times - pandemic times. Mahindra tweeted, "This is one pandemic that we are happy & proud to say originated in India. It's the Indian CEO Virus… No vaccine against it."

In his reaction to Parag Agrawal's elevation at Twitter, Suhel Seth, in his characteristic in-your-face style addressed his tweet to Apple CEO Tim Cook and told him to resign! Seth tweeted, "Good evening @tim_cook: I hope you saw @jack ‘s message to the world. Be global; but be led by an Indian. Waiting for the apple to fall closer to the tree. Stay safe. And start drafting your resignation letter."

He was pointing out the obvious fact that the iconic iPhone-maker stands alone in not having any high profile Indian in any top post.
