Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has announced an option for users to extend the validity of their plans for a few days. The change is a revised version of the existing 19 auto validity extension that BSNL customers could avail on the last day of the grace period.

Now, BSNL is offering a three-day extension for 2. This 2 will be deducted from the main balance on the first day of the grace period. This validity extension just buys you some more time to recharge your number, it comes with no other benefits.

This new extension has been announced by BSNL's Tamil Nadu division, but the telecom company has confirmed that it is valid across circles.

For closed plans that aren't active on user accounts, the notice posted by BSNL Tamil Nadu states that the plan voucher amount will be deducted on the first day of the grace period and the plans will be reactivated without any personalised ring back tone (PRBT) benefits.

However, if customers do not have a balance equivalent to their plan voucher amount then BSNL will deduct 2 from the main balance on the first day of the initial grace period and extend the validity for three days allowing users to up their account balance.

In January this year, BSNL had offered the auto validity extension for 19 to push the validity of the plan for 30 days on the last day of the grace period.
