Is Instagram down? Users have turned to social media to report the latest Instagram outage. Instagram, one of the widely used social networking platforms appears to have crashed due to which several users were unable to login. Instagram users who have complained about the same informed that the application server status makes grim reading. Downdetector has received thousands of reports about Instagram crashing on December 4. As per the information provided by Express in the UK. According to Downdetector the application was down for around 3 hours between 6 pm to 9 pm. Instagram users have taken to Twitter to complain about the outage on social media platform Twitter. Along with Instagram, Facebook too went through an outage on December 4. As per the information provided by Downdetector, Facebook outage was also reported between 6 pm to 9 pm in the UK. However, as per the latest information, users have reported that there no current problem on the social networking platform. 

According to a user, a message saying "Something went wrong" popped up from the Desktop version of Facebook. Notably, Instagram went down for over 9 hours a couple of months back along with Facebook, WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger after a server fiasco.
