This might be our first look at the upcoming iPhone 7, which many believe is the most controversial design change in smartphone history. There have already been reports that Apple is planning to ditch the standard 3.5mm jack in favour of Lightning-only earpods. Multiple reports now claim to have obtained the first leaked schematics of the upcoming iPhone revealing some key changes.

First off, we see a slightly redesigned back which suggests that Apple's next-gen iPhone will have no rubber-like antenna bands on its rear unlike the iPhone 6/6s models. Instead, it will have antenna bands on the side along with the top and bottom edges which is expected to further bolster signal strength.

The leaked technical drawings also suggest the next iPhone to get an upgraded camera. The image of the rear of the case shows a larger hole for the camera.

Additionally, the leaked technical drawings also suggest the next iPhone to get an upgraded camera. The image of the rear of the case shows a larger hole for the camera unit. It appears significantly bigger compared to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s, implying that Apple might be trying to get rid of the protruding camera unit found on current iPhones. As right now, the camera on the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus clearly sticks out and sits slightly off when placed on a flat surface.

These design renders were initially confirmed by prolific leaker @OnLeaks, who has a credible track record of leaks in the past. According to him, the upcoming iPhone 7 is also expected to be ever so slightly thinner than the current iPhone 6s/6s Plus.
