Kindle e-reader update makes it more personalised and social
The substantial and long-overdue update to Kindle e-readers introduces a personalised home screen, easier access to settings, recommendations and easier sharing options.

According to a page on Amazon, the Kindle e-readers have an update coming their way this month. Amazon barely faces any competition in the market but that hasn't deterred them from working on the interface and features. The substantial and long-overdue update introduces a personalised home screen, easier access to settings, recommendations and easier sharing options.
The free over-the-air software update feature the most recent books in a box on top-right corner of the home screen under a "My reading list" label.
Under the box, you can see recommendations to other books available on the platform.
A settings button will give you the option to toggle airplane mode and sync without leaving the home screen.
You can also share text from a book you're reading to Facebook, Twitter or Goodreads by just highlighting it.
