Microsoft Windows Event 2021: The reign of Windows 10 is about to end. Microsoft is hosting a special event today wherein it is expected to announce ‘what's next for Windows.' If reports and leaks are any indication, it is expected to be Windows 11.

This means that Microsoft will not be releasing any bug fixes or security updates to its operating system post the mentioned time period. This strengthens the theory that Windows 11 is indeed coming.

As per the recent reports, Windows 11 is likely to feature a revamped UI, a brand new start menu, and a redesigned taskbar. Reports also indicate that Windows 11 is expected to be closer kin to Windows 10X, whose development has already been scrapped by the company.

Reports also indicate that Windows 11 will be free to download for Windows 10 and Windows 8.1 users. Users running their devices on Windows 8 will first have to upgrade to Windows 8.1 in order to get the update for free.
