Chinese publisher Perfect World Entertainment and American tech giant Microsoft have announced plans to bring massively multiplayer Dungeons & Dragons adventure 'Neverwinter' to the Xbox One on March 31, 2015.

The role-player has been in development since 2010, then subject to a studio acquisition by Perfect World, and made available on Windows PC as part of an open beta testing phase since April 2013.

The game is set within the 'Dungeons & Dragons' fiction, which stretches back to 1974, and whose video game high points include the 'Baldur's Gate,' 'Icewind Dale,' 'Neverwinter Nights' and 'Planescape: Torment' titles.

A 'Neverwinter' for PlayStation 4 has also been announced, during Sony's presentation at the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2014.
