Samsung Galaxy S8 might be cheaper than iPhone 7, Google Pixel
Samsung might bet on the S8 to take it to new highs against its fight against Apple after its setback with the Galaxy Note 7.

Samsung is betting on the Galaxy S8 to make a comeback to the smartphone market and it is betting big after the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco which allowed rivals such as Apple and Google to take advantage of the situation.
According to a Chinese tipster who works for Samsung, the phone will launch in the 128GB variant in Chinese and Korean markets. India and other Asian markets will see both the 64GB and 128GB variants with Europe seeing the release of a 4GBRAM/64GB memory variant only.
As per leaks, the Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to come in two sizes -- the 5.8-inch Galaxy S8 and the 6.2-inch Galaxy S8 Plus. The Chinese tipster claims that a 6GB RAM variant of the Galaxy S8 in India may come at CNY 6,088 (about ₹59,000) for the 64GB model, while the 128GB unit will cost CNY 6,488 (₹63,000 approx).
According to Twitter tipster Ricciolo, the S8 may be priced at EUR 849 (roughly ₹ 61,700), making it more expensive than last year's premium Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge variant.

However, comparing it to 128 GB models of the Google Pixel and the Apple iPhone 7, the Galaxy S8 will be cheaper if the tip offs are correct. The 4GB RAM variant might also be launched in India , but there is no information on its pricing.
The S8 and S8 Plus is also speculated to come with a AMOLED display. However, experts claimed that the S8 Plus has similar overall footprint as the now-discontinued Galaxy Note7.
According to a tipster on Weibo who has been accurate on previous calls related to Samsung devices, the Galaxy S8 will feature 8GB of RAM. In addition, it will also sport a UFS 2.1 flash storage chip as well as a dual-camera setup at the rear just like the iPhone 7 Plus. Both the phones might be powered either by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor or an Exynos 8895. The devices are expected to run on Android 7.0 Nougat.
Samsung might also include its new AI-powered assistants reportedly named Bixby (male) and Kestra (female) with the Galaxy S8.
Speculations are adrift that Google is talking to the Galaxy device maker about making Google Assistant the only voice-activated personal assistant on the device.
