Telegram testing QR codes, widgets and reporting tools in latest beta
Telegram is working on a bunch of features including QR codes for groups and channels, app widgets and reporting tools.
Telegram is working on a couple of features such as widgets, QR code support for group chats, and options to report content. The new features are currently in beta, and are expected to roll out soon to all users.
Telegram beta version 7.5 comes with the new features which were spotted by TestingCatalog. The messaging app is adding support for QR codes that can be used to invite people to group chats and channels as well. It's also testing a way to limit group chat invite links. Admins will have the option to allow people to use a link for a specific time period or till the group member limit is reached. Another feature in testing is for group chat admins to set a custom timer for messages to auto delete.
Telegram is also adding options for users to report content on the app. Users will be able to report content involving spam, violence, child abuse, pornography or “other.” Users can report multiple posts at once on Telegram.

Widgets are also coming to Telegram based on this beta update. There are two sizes available where the smaller one is a 2x2 widget, and the bigger one is 5x2. The smaller Telegram widget shows up to four thumbnails with unread messages, and the bigger one shows previews of your chats and channels. The widgets also show contacts you interact with the most by default but you can change this. Telegram could also allow support for selected members to chat and comment in channels.
