Here’s what you need to know about the Gmail redesign

Google announced major improvements to Gmail on April 25. It's Gmail's first redesign since 2013. This is also the most extensive and expensive overhaul to software in its G suite workspace bundle. To check out the new updates, click on the cogwheel icon, and select 'Try the new Gmail' Although you may see a few updates now, but more and more will start rolling out in the coming weeks. And if you are not happy with the changes, you can always go back to the classic Gmail version of it. So, here are the newest changes. You can now click on attachments without opening or scrolling through large conversations. You can also snooze emails you can't read immediately by using the new snooze button. The most talked about feature though, is the confidential mode that allows you to remove the option to forward, copy, download or print messages. You can also make a message expire after a set period of time to help you stay in control of your information. Gmail will also “nudge” you to follow up and respond to messages with quick reminders that appear next to your email messages. Another new feature is “Smart Reply”. These are basically response suggestions that help you save time. It basically suggests three responses based on the email you receive. Once you've selected one, you can send it immediately or edit the response. New features on the mobile include high-priority notifications, that notify you of important messages and suggestions to unsubscribe from newsletters or offers that you no longer care about. It will also warn you when a potentially risky email comes through.
