The summer season is finally here which means many of you will be looking to buy new air conditioners to beat the heat. While the season has just started, several locations in India are already at their peak of summer. The daily maximum temperature has crossed 35 degrees and it will only increase in the coming days. Therefore, before the heat waves kick in, make sure to equip your rooms with high-performance ACs that will make your room chilly in a matter of minutes. Factors to consider before buying an air conditioner

1. No matter if you are looking online or in stores, the very first thing you will come across is a type of AC. In the market, you will find five types of ACs: Window AC, Split AC, Inverter AC, Portable AC, and Central AC. Therefore,  make sure you consider your requirements.
2. Then, you will have to consider AC capacities such as 1 ton, 2 ton, or more. The capacity depends upon the size of your room. To help you understand better, you will require 1.5 to 2 tons of AC for a medium-sized room of up to 150 Sq.ft.

3. You must also consider creating a budget, as in India you will find AC from Rs.15000 to more than 1 lakhs. Therefore, consider your AC cost, installation cost, maintenance, etc.

4. Now, you must also make sure how much power the AC consumes. You can judge this by reading the Indian Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (ISEER) rating. These ratings are displayed based on stars from 1 to 5. Therefore, the higher the stars, the greater the energy saving.

5. Lastly, go through the AC features thoroughly as you will find several smart as well as manual features. Check if the AC consists of sleep mode, cooling temperatures, dust filters, 4-way swing, remote operations, and others.
