Dell just launched its MacBook Pro-killing laptop in India – the XPS 13 Plus. Revealed to the world earlier this year at the CES 2022, the Dell XPS 13 Plus brings the convenience of the traditional 13-inch laptop but in a new futuristic design that sets it apart from the rest of the crowd. There’s just one model that is coming to India and you get the choice of choosing between two Intel processors. If you had just made up your mind to get the new 2022 Apple MacBook Air with the M2 chip, it is going to be difficult for you.
The Dell XPS 13 Plus 9320 is the only model and size you will be getting in India at the moment. The base variant of the laptop with an Intel Core i5-1240P processor and 512GB SSD storage will set you back by Rs. 1,59,990. On the other hand, the top-end variant with Core i7-1260P processor and 1TB storage will set you back by Rs. 1,79,990. Dell is only selling the XPS 13 Plus in India in the Silver colour variant.
The Dell XPS 13 Plus comes with a 12th Gen Intel Core 28W processor, offering the choice between a Core i5 and Core i7 processor. The larger fans promise 55 percent better airflow for cooling while the Express Charge feature allows the laptop to charge its battery to 80 percent in less than an hour. The new XPS 13 Plus comes with simplified yet modern interiors, all made of CNC machined aluminium and glass for looks and durability. The interiors are a tone-on-tone match to the exterior finish.
The laptop features a new Capacitive Touch Function Row that allows the user to switch between media and function keys easily. Dell has also designed the keyboard with larger keycaps, called the Zero-Lattice Keyboard, which is said to be comfortable, smooth, and efficient with every keystroke. The laptop also features a Seamless Glass Touchpad that uses force pad haptics for feedback, just like Apple MacBook models.
The Dell XPS 13 Plus also gets an InfinityEdge display with an UHD+ screen along with EyeSafe technology to reduces harmful blue light and maintains vivid color. A new quad speaker setup on the laptop is present, with the two up-firing speakers hidden underneath the keyboard, while down-firing speakers are on the base.
