iPhone 14 Series Launch Event Highlights: Satellite connectivity, new chip to always-on display

The event is finally here and CEO Tim Cook started it all with the Apple Watch. iPhone 14 followed soon after. Apple Inc on Wednesday showed a trio of new Apple Watches, including a new Watch Ultra model aimed at extreme sports. Then came the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus.

iPhone 14 Series, Watch Launch Event Highlights:

3. Apple iPhone 14 launched along with iPhone 14 Plus. The standard iPhone 14 models look similar to the iPhone 13 from last year, but with a twist: Apple has dropped the mini version and added a model with a larger, 6.7-inch display.

4. iPhone 14 has a larger display, and better battery life than any other earlier iPhone- all-day battery life

5. The two iPhones come with ceramic shield. Camera improvements include a new Action mode for video that helps stabilize action shots. 

“We’re constantly challenging ourselves to raise the bar and make it better,” Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook said during the presentation.

6. iPhone 14 comes powered by A15 processor with 5 core GPU and 6 core CPU. 

7. iPhone 14 has been launched with OLED, 1200nits brightness, Dolby Vision and much more!

8. iPhone 14 to come in five colors: midnight, starlight, blue, purple, and product red!

9. The iPhone 14 Plus model will have a larger screen like Apple's iPhone Pro models but the same A15 processor chip as the previous iPhone 13.

10. Apple Inc introduced a range of new iPhone 14 models capable of sending a call for help via satellite during an emergency and crash-detection ability.

11. iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus get new 12mp main camera with larger sensor and 1.9micron pixels. F1.5 aperture and OIS.

12. New f.1.9 TrueDepth camera with autofocus for the first time on iPhone 14!

13. No more SIM trays on US models of iPhone anymore- all eSIMs now.

14. Cook introduces the iPhone 14 Pro models with Face ID and new chip!

15. And the devices embrace the eSIM standard, which dispenses with a physical SIM card, and offers crash detection.

16. New front design with a smaller pill-shaped notch for iPhone 14 Pro! Proximity sensor is behind the display.

17. Vibrant iPhone 14 Pro colours coming- Space black, silver, gold, deep purple.

18. iPhone 14 Pro to come with 6.1- and 6.7-inch sizes with thinner borders, peak HDR brightness of 1600 nits and always-on display!

1. Apple CEO Tim Cook started the Far Out event by highlighting the important gadgets that are coming today.

2. Cook said, "Let us talk about the Apple Watch." And what followed were the amazing ways in which Apple Watch had saved so many lives since it was first launched. This was done through the first-person account of the victims and their kin.

3. So many ways Apple Watch improves lives. Intro best Apple Watch lineup ever, he said.

4. Apple Watch is the number 1 smartwatch in the world and it has been that way for 7 years running.

5. Apple Far Out event: Apple Watch Series 8 announced first! It came even before launch of iPhone 14.

6. Apple Watch Series 8 arrives with new temperature sensor for women's health, and two-sensor design with one on the back and one under the display.

7. Apple brings Crash detection to Apple Watch 8. New Crash Detection feature on Apple Watch can detect crashes in the most popular types of vehicles!

8. Along with fall detection and SOS, Watch Series 8 bring crash detection to notify contacts about the emergency.

9. Apple Series 8 specs: Apple Watch 8 comes with advanced tracking features for women including, logging cycle data and body temperature data. Apple Watch will track ovulation cycle as well. This is a souped-up period and ovulation tracking feature for women!
