He said, "The supply chain has received instructions from Apple indicating that the production and shipment plans for the 2024 iPhone SE 4 have been cancelled rather than delayed". Kuo claims Qualcomm wins big if iPhone SE 4 is killed off

In his blog post, Kuo explained further that the initial plan for Apple was to launch its baseband chip in 2024 and let the low-end iPhone SE 4 adopt it first. This would enable Apple to monitor and decide whether the home-grown 5G modem chipset was good enough to be deployed into its 2024 iPhone 16. But insiders believe that the chipset was not ready to even be tested in the low impact SE devices. As things stand, Apple will put its focus on the iPhone 16 models in 2024, according to Kuo.
