Nothing Phone (1) has just been teased officially! Nothing has revealed the first look of its Phone (1) smartphone, and it is radically different from the previous teasers. The phone carries the same design ethos as the Nothing ear (1) earbuds, but adapted to the smartphone aesthetics. The phone has been revealed in the white colour variant, and Nothing doesn't say whether a black variant of the same will come out when the phone launches next month.
As hyped previously, Nothing Phone (1) carries a transparent rear design. The design is not exactly similar to the DIY transparent phone mods – Nothing has gone for a fancy minimalist look here. The phone also appears to have a dual rear camera system, an exposed wireless charging coil, and flat sides. “Transparent design, surfacing curved circuits. Made with consciously chosen materials,” says Nothing on its event page.
Unfortunately for us, Nothing is yet to reveal any of the specifications and features of this phone yet. Rumours have been talking about this phone being a midrange smartphone, possibly relying on the midrange Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset. Nothing confirmed earlier that the phone will rely on the Nothing OS, which is essentially a lightweight Android custom launcher with zero bloatware.
In fact, the Nothing OS experience can be had on any Android smartphone today with the Nothing Launcher app available on Google Play Store. The launchers comes with its own widgets and icon packs, and adheres to the stock Android experience.
Nothing Phone (1) is also expected to come with a 4500mAh battery paired to a 45W wired fast charging solution, and a wireless charging solution as well. The phone could come with a 50MP main rear camera, a 6.5-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and uniform bezels, and a fairly affordable price.
From the official image, the Nothing Phone (1) seems like a fresh new design in the crowded smartphone space, all of them flaunting gradient colour hues and large camera humps. The Phone (1) stands out with its monotone simple design layout, iPhone 13 inspired aesthetics, and the unique rear design.
