Apple Watch, iPad Air tipped to launch next week

Now that Samsung is done launching its series of smartphones and wearables, it is time that we shift our complete focus to Apple’s 2020 lineup of devices, which not only consists of the iPhone 12 series but also Apple Watch series and an iPad. In the past couple of weeks, reports have detailed features and specifications that we expect to see in Apple’s upcoming product lineup. Now, a new report talks about their time of launch.

Tipster Jon Prosser, in a series of tweets, today said that Apple will make a big announcement on September 8. “I’m being told that *something* is happening on Apple’s website on Tuesday, September 8th. Between 9:00-12:00 EST,” he wrote in a tweet.

In a subsequent tweet, he noted that the company would launch Apple Watch and iPad around September 7 via a press release. If this is true Apple Watch Series 6, which as per a Bloomberg report will comprise of a premium variant that will succeed the Watch Series 5 and a low-budget variant that will succeed the Watch Series 3, will be announced next week.

In addition to that, the company will also launch a new iPad model along with the Apple Watch Series. A previous report by the publication states that Apple will launch an iPad Air model on the lines of the new iPad Pro that was launched in March this year. If this true, we might see Apple Watch Series 6 and iPad Air 2020 being announced next week.

As far as iPhones are concerned, the tipster says that Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 12 series around October 12. While the lower-end models are expected to start shipping starting shipping around October 19 while the higher end Pro models are expected to start shipping sometime in November. That said, Apple hasn’t said anything yet. So, we’ll have to sit tight and wait for an announcement by Apple to know more about it.
