Apple’s spanking new Apple Watch Series 6 was announced today with the Blood Oxygen feature that offers better insight into the users’ overall wellness. The new Apple Watch Series 6 comes with significant hardware improvements, including a faster S6 System in Package (SiP) and always-on altimeter. It is also Apple’s most colourful lineup yet.
The Apple Watch Series 6 will ship with watchOS 7 that brings Family Setup, sleep tracking, automatic handwashing detection, new workout types, and the ability to curate and share watch faces.
For the first time, there is a new blue colour joining the silver, space grey, and gold aluminium case options, along with a (PRODUCT)RED Apple Watch with exclusive matching bright red bands. Stainless steel models are going to be available in graphite and yellow gold colour. Apple Watch Edition is going to be available in natural and space black titanium.
The newly launched Solo Loop and Braided Solo Loop in (PRODUCT)RED will be available by late October. The Solo Loop and Braided Solo Loop are compatible with Apple Watch Series 4 and later models.
The Apple Watch Series 6 (GPS) starts at ₹40,900 and Apple Watch Series 6 (GPS + Cellular) starts at ₹49,900.
The Apple Watch SE features the same accelerometer, gyroscope, and always-on altimeter as Apple Watch Series 6, and with the latest motion sensors and microphone, health and safety capabilities including fall detection, Emergency SOS, international emergency calling, and the Noise app. Instead of the S6, the Apple Watch SE will have the S5 SiP under the hood.
The Apple Watch SE is also going to ship with watchOS 7 and will support the Family Setup.
Apple Watch SE will be available in three case finishes - silver, gold and space grey - made of 100% recycled aluminium, and compatible with all Apple Watch bands including the new Solo Loop and the Braided Solo Loop.
Apple Watch SE (GPS) starts at ₹29,900 and Apple Watch SE (GPS + Cellular) starts at ₹33,900.
