Bose Sport Open Earbuds with open-ear design launched

Bose’s new wireless earbuds keeps you aware of your surroundings by letting outside sound in. The Bose Sport Open Earbuds have an open-ear design as they sit above the ear and not inside like most earbuds.

Bose has launched the Sport Open Earbuds first in the US, and they are currently available to pre-order in the US. The wireless earbuds are priced at ₹$199.95 ( ₹14,600 approx), and come in only black colour.

Bose explains how despite the open-ear design, the Sports Open Earbuds still deliver “high-quality sound”. Bose says this is a “more natural listening experience than traditional earbuds.” The earbuds sit on top of the ear and have a clip that attaches to the back of the ear.

Bose Sport Open Earbuds are IPX4 water-resistant, and also feature an “industrial grade thermoplastic exterior”. There’s also an acoustic mesh in the ports that should help keep out water and debris. The wireless earbuds are said to last for up to eight hours on a single charge. Speaking of which, the Bose Sport Open Earbuds take two hours to fully charge, and a 30-minute charge should give up to 3 hours of juice. The wireless earbuds are equipped with Bluetooth 5.1 for connectivity.

Both earbuds have a button each for launching voice assistant, and controlling music playback. There are microphones on each earbud as well. The wireless earbuds also come with a carrying case and a charging base that are priced at $29.95 ( ₹2,200 approx) and $19.95 ( ₹1,500 approx), respectively.
