Fitbit Premium now has 500,000 plus paid subscribers

Fitbit’s paid membership service, Fitbit Premium, which guides users to be more active, manage stress, sleep and diet better, has reached more than 500,000 paid subscribers in less than a year since launch.

Fitbit Premium works in tandem with the Fitbit fitness band to provide more personalised insights that users can focus on along with workouts, challenges, sleep tools and wellness reports. And all of this is accessible on the Fitbit app that you use for your smartband.

According to Fitbit, in the first two weeks after joining, Premium users took an average of 700 more steps per day. Members have access to all of the following features, which provide added value when paired with a Fitbit device, including audio and video workouts, mindfulness practices, deeper sleep analysis, personalised, cross-correlated insights, guided programs, games and challenges and wellness reports.

Launched a year ago, Fitbit is going to expand Fitbit Premium to seven more languages over this year. Premium is currently available in English and will expand to Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish, and Swedish by the end of the year. 

Fitbit Premium is available for ₹819 per month or ₹6,999 per year.

Following the emergence of Covid-19 and the subsequent shelter-in-place mandates, Fitbit announced a 90-day free trial of Premium for new users and witnessed an increased interest in the service, as users around the world sought more insight on how to better manage their health and wellness from home.
