Huawei launches Freebuds 3 wireless earbuds with active noise cancellation and Kirin A1 processor in India

A day after launching its mid-range Y9s smartphone, Huawei has expanded its audio hardware line up in India with the Huawei Freebuds 3. These new noise cancellation stereo earbuds are priced at ₹12,990 and will be available exclusively via Amazon starting May 20. Interested customers will also get Huawei CP61 Wireless Charger along with the earbuds and can avail no cost EMI starting from ₹18/day.

Powered by the company’s own Kirin A1 processor, the Freebuds 3 supports ultra-low latency (190ms) and can dynamically identify frequency bands affected by 2.4 GHz signal. It also has isochronous dual channel Bluetooth1 that let the two earbuds connect simultaneously but independently. This comes in addition to the dual channel synchronized technology that allows two headsets to receive the left and right audio channels directly from a smart device.

The earbuds offer real time call noise reduction as well. “Based on the simulation of ear canal, the output frequency and intensity of the noise reduction signal are adjusted for different ear canal shapes, thus achieving excellent active noise reduction effect, with open-fit wearing,” says Huawei. You can double tap the left earbud to switch on the ANC feature.

With 14mm dynamic drivers, Huawei Freedbud 3 is said to handle bass, mids and treble better than others. The battery is said to deliver a playback of up to four hours and an additional 16 hours witch the case.

All this comes inside earbuds that have a rounded charging case in Gloss Black and Gloss White finishes.

For what’s worth, Huawei is not present in the top four players in the India TWS (True Wireless Stereo) market as per Counterpoint Research. Apple grabbed 27% share of the India hearables market, followed by an upstart brand Noise at 12% and JBL at 8%. Samsung with 7% market share was fourth.
