Launched! Google Pixel Buds A series priced at under $100

Google launched its new TWS earbuds, Pixel Buds, back in 2019. Now, two years later, the company has updated its TWS earbuds lineup by launching the Google Pixel Buds A series wireless earbuds.

Google’s newly launched Pixel Buds A series earbuds come with custom-designed 12mm dynamic drivers, which the company says are capable of delivering clear and natural sound while giving the users the option to focus on low tones in Bass Boost mode. They also come with an Adaptive Sound feature, which increases or decreases the volume based on a user’s surroundings.

Google’s next-generation TWS earbuds come with beamforming mics, which the company says focus on a user’s voice and reduce outside noise. This, in turn, improves the overall call quality. As far as the battery life is concerned, each bud offers up to 5 hours of listening time or up to 2.5 hours of talk time. With the charging case, each earbud offers up to 24 hours of listening time or up to 12 hours of talk time. Google says that just 15-minutes of charge of the earbuds in the charging case is capable of delivering up to 3 hours of listening time or up to 1.5 hours of talk time. They can be charged quickly using a USB Type-C charger and they have Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity.

Google Pixel Buds A series earbuds come with a bunch of sensors that make them smarter than the previous generation TWS earbuds. Each earbud comes with capacitive touch sensors for music, calls, and Google Assistant controls, a single IR proximity sensor for in-ear detection to play and pause automatically and a motion-detecting accelerometer. The charging case, on the other hand, comes with a hall effect sensor that detects when the charging case is opened and closed.

Google’s newly launched earbuds also feature support for Google Assistant. Users can get quick hands-free help to check the weather, get an answer, change the volume, or have notifications read to you with a simple “Hey Google.” Additionally, they come with IPX4 dust and water-resistant coating, which makes them suitable to be used in the rain or during a sweaty workout session.

Google Pixel Buds A series of earbuds cost $99 ( ₹7,233 approx.) and they are now available for pre-order in the US and Canada. They will go on sale in the two countries starting June 17. There is no word on when they will arrive in other parts of the world.
