Lava Probuds, the Indian company’s first true wireless (TWS) earbuds to launch in the country were announced by Lava on Monday. The new earbuds come with an in-ear design and 11.6 mm drivers and have workout friendly features like IPX5 water and sweat resistance. The company has also promised a long battery backup for the device, along with a quick pairing mode for the earbuds.

But in an even more exciting announcement, the company has stated on its website that as part of a promotional offer, the Lava Probuds will be launched with an offer that will allow users to buy the earbuds at a discounted price of Re 1. The Lava Probuds true wireless earbuds will cost 2,199 and will compete with the likes of affordable TWS earbuds like the OnePlus Buds Z and the Realme Buds Air 2. The Lava Probuds will be sold on Amazon and Flipkart, as well as Lava’s own online store. Sales of the device will begin on June 24, at 12 noon.

Lava has also announced that a few customers who are able to buy the device in good time will gain access to the new Lava Probuds at Re 1, which is part of an introductory offer. However, the offer is only valid until stocks last, so users will need to place their orders quickly when the sale begins on June 24 .

Lava Probuds TWS Earbuds Launch Offer: Specifications and features

According to Lava, the new Lava Probuds are powered by the Mediatek Airoha chipset, and will be powered by 11.6 drivers that can offer 5 hours of playback, with another 20 hours of battery offered by the charging case. The buds have 55mAh batteries inside, while the charging case has a capacity of 500mAh. Lava has not specified how much time it will take to charge the buds and the charging case, but you will need a micro USB cable – instead of the more modern USB-C technology.

The earbuds will have sweat and water resistance with an IPX5 rating, which means that they will survive workouts as well as light splashes in the rain. Meanwhile, Lava says that the charging case also automatically turns on the buds as soon as the lid is opened, meaning the buds can immediately connect to a paired device before it is put into the user’s ears. Other features include touch controls, Siri and Google Assistant compatibility and us to 10 metres range.
