Xiaomi is working on its next-generation fitness tracker. Dubbed as Mi Band 5, key details about the upcoming wearable have already leaked online. The latest is a set of live images that give a closer look at the design of Mi Band 5.
Posted on Weibo, live images reveal a larger screen on the Mi Band 5. The charger has also been changed to a new plug-in format. Rest of the look and feel of the fitness tracker feels the same as Mi Band 4. According to the latest leak, Mi Band 5 could be priced at CNY 200 ( ₹2,100 approximately).
Earlier leaks claim Xiaomi’s Mi Band 5 will come with support for Amazon’s Alexa. The fitness tracker is also said to feature a SpO2 sensor which allows it to measure blood oxygen saturation.
Mi Band 5 is also rumoured to feature a “Personal Activity Intelligence (PAI)” which will help users learn about the amount of activity is required for staying fit.
In terms of specifications, Mi Band 5 is rumoured to come with a 1.2-inch OLED display. The fitness tracker will not offer NFC connectivity outside China, just like the older Mi Bands. Reports suggest the Mi Band 5 will also offer a bigger battery.
Mi Band 5 is expected to launch in China next month.
