Samsung’s brand new Galaxy Buds Pro earbuds are barely a week old, but that hasn’t stopped the company from pushing out the first update to their latest truly wireless earphones.

Twitter user @SamsungRydah posted a screenshot of the update’s changelog that states that the left/right sound balance has been adjusted and the Hearing enhancements feature has been implemented. Two other areas have been improved - Bixby voice wake-up and system stability and reliability.

The update weighs in at 2.2 MB and includes the standard disclaimer that some earbud settings might change due to the update. Users who want to update their Galaxy Buds Pro should simply open the case, leave the earbuds in and make sure the device is paired before starting the update, making sure not to disconnect or interrupt the devices while the firmware is being pushed to the earbuds.

The company released the Galaxy Buds Pro as a successor to the Galaxy Buds Plus, improving on several aspects of the design and hardware capabilities. The biggest feature upgrade over its predecessor is the addition of active noise cancelling, similar to the Galaxy Buds Live, but likely to be more effective due to the in-ear design and better sealing like the older Galaxy Buds and Galaxy Buds Plus.

In fact, the update is so early that if you’ve preordered the Galaxy Buds Pro, it’s highly likely that you’ll see the update pop up as soon as you take them out and connect to your Galaxy Wearable App for the first time. Users who want to check out the improvements could first try to test out the audio quality before and after the update.

The Galaxy Buds Pro will go on sale for 15,990 on January 29, but you can preorder them right away and avail of Samsungs offer of a 3,200 discount on their wireless portable charger worth 3,699. Considering the hardware upgrades over the Galaxy Buds Plus, the pricing in the country seems quite competitive when you consider their closest competitor which retail for 20,999 - the AirPods Pro.
