Nothing Ear (Stick) is only days away from an official launch but as is the norm, Nothing cannot hold on to secrets. We now already know what the Ear (Stick) looks like in its entirety, thanks to Nothing revealing the product in its entirety. The Ear (Stick) appears to be a simpler version of the Ear (1) earbuds from last year and the focus on this one remains entirely on its design. A clear look also reveals the design of the earbuds for the first time.
And yes, the Nothing Ear (Stick) earbuds don’t have those silicon eartips from the ear (1) earbuds. That also means these could miss out on the active noise cancellation, as suggested by previous rumours. The eartips resemble the Apple AirPods but continue to have the same transparent design theme that has been present on every Nothing product prior to this. The unique case design is also shown in all its glory and it does look gorgeous.
Nothing even goes on to say that the Ear (Stick) is designed to be comfortable and should be easy to wear all-day long. The company says it has tested it on 100 ears and should offer great comfort. Rest of the features and details are under wraps.
What remains to be seen is how Nothing prices the Ear (Stick) in markets like India, where the competition is intense in the affordable segment. The Nothing Ear (1), which is over a year old by now, recently saw a price hike to Rs. 7,199 in India, and continues to be the popular choice in this segment. The Ear (Stick) is expected to cost slightly less, if not the same, and could take on the affordable range of TWS earbuds in India from various Chinese brands.
Prior to this, Nothing announced its Phone (1) smartphone in India. Falling in the midrange Android smartphone category, the Phone (1) offers sublime performance with its Snapdragon 778G chip, a clean Nothing OS experience based on Android 12, a dual 50MP rear camera setup, a cool semi-transparent design with its Glyph light interface, and a great battery life.
