Fastrack is a well-known brand in India. It started out as a company that provides affordable yet stylish watches to the young and dynamic people in India. Over the years, it has expanded its product portfolio to eyewear, bags and even perfume. In addition to this, Fastrack has also expanded its portfolio to include fitness trackers and audio devices. The latest wearable to join the league is the Reflex Tunes F02 wireless headphones.

Priced at INR 7,995, the Fastrack Reflex Tunes F02 wireless headphones come with an interesting feature set, which includes ANC, a 20-hour battery life, support for Qualcomm Aptx codec and IPX4 dust and waterproof coating to name a few. Now, the question here is if the Fastrack Reflex Tunes F02 is good only on paper or do these features translate into solid on-ground performance as well. We will try to answer that question in the course of this review. So, stay tuned...

Fastrack Reflex Tunes F02 headphones: Design

In the era of TWS earbuds, the Fastrack Reflex Tunes F02 looks like a big and clunky gadget that can be easily avoided. With a thick headband and big earcups, it looks like a device from yesteryears, back when wearing over-the-ear headphones was in vogue. However, it is its big and clunky design that makes all the difference and makes listening to music fun.

The Fastrack Reflex Tunes F02 features a plastic body. It has an adjustable headband with a thick case with faux leather finish. This headband is connected to earcups with thick padding on both ends. The earcups cover all of your ears and the padding creates a seal between the ears and the headphones offering passive noise cancellation even when the headphones are turned off.

Apart from that, these earcups, or at least the right one, has all the controls that you will need to control various aspects of this pair of headphones. It has a power button that is placed between the volume keys. Right under it is a toggle switch to turn the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) feature on or off. These buttons are followed by a 3.5mm jack for connecting the AUX cable and a USB Type-C port for charging.

All in all, Fastrack Reflex Tunes F02 may not be the most premium looking pair of headphones, especially when compared to the likes on Sony and SkullCandy, but it is certainly one of the most comfortable ones.

Fastrack Reflex Tunes F02 headphones: Performance

Coming to performance, the Fastrack Reflex Tunes F02 headphones offer a crystal clear sound that is pleasing to the ears. No matter what music genre you pick, it gives you clear audio that is refreshingly balanced to listen to. Songs like Last Christmas by Wham!, All of Me by John Legend and I Will Always Love You by Whitney Houston sound divine. The mids are perfectly balanced and you can hear every note separately. In songs like A Thousand Years by Christina Perri, you can distinguish between every note on a piano and every guitar strum. And in Songs like Titanium by David Guetta, it manages to produce the right amount of bass while maintaining clarity even on high volume levels, which is astounding.

The Fastrack Reflex Tunes F02 is all about clarity and it does so even when you are on a call. One area where it falls short is the ANC performance. The Fastrack Reflex Tunes F02, as I mentioned before, offers passive noise cancellation when the ANC feature is turned off. This doesn’t change much when the feature is turned on. Ideally, ANC should filter out almost all the noise when you are outside. While it does filter out most of it, I feel there is room for more. Inside, I was able to hear the sound from my air purifier and even the annoying doorbell easily. While it did get softer, it wasn’t enough to completely block the sound. Outside, I was able to hear almost everything even from afar.

On the battery front, the Fastrack Reflex Tunes F02 offers around 11 hours of run time with ANC turned on and it took around three hours to charge it completely.

Fastrack Reflex Tunes F02 headphones: Conclusion

Now, the most important question of this discussion: should you buy Fastrack Reflex Tunes F02 or not?

In one word: Yes. The Fastrack Reflex Tunes F02 offers an exceptionally good audio quality. The sound is clear and balanced even on high volume levels. The mids are clear and it almost touches the mark when it comes to producing booming bass sounds. It maintains this clarity during calls as well. What adds to the overall allure is that it offers a decent battery life and comes with dust and waterproof coating. Sure, the ANC feature is not up to the mark but the sound quality almost makes up for it.
