The Pokemon Company has announced that they are reprinting trading cards since the demand for Pokemon cards has been so high. The demand has particularly skyrocketed over the last few weeks as the series is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

In a statement released on the support page, the Pokemon company announced that they are aware of the fact that some fans are experiencing difficulties purchasing certain Pokemon trading cards due to high demands and global shipping constraints. To fix this issue, the company said that they are reprinting the “impacted products” at maximum capacity.

“For new Pokémon TCG expansions launching in the future, we are maximising production to increase product availability upon release, and we will continue to reprint the products to replenish stock at retailers as soon as possible," the company added.

The company has not mentioned a specific time when the retailers are expected to receive new shipments but have pledged to replenish stocks at retailers as soon as possible.

Pokemon trading cards have been in high demand over the last several months with most of them selling out quickly at retailers. And that's not all, older cards have been selling for as much as $375,000 and card opening videos on YouTube have been amassing millions of views over the last one year, The Verge reported.

The Pokemon Company is celebrating a major milestone this year and Nintendo has been trying to make the best of the occasion, which includes partnering with McDonald's. Collectible cards are being given out along with Happy Meals at McDonald's and the demand for these are also very high with fans trying to take advantage of the situation while they can.
