Pokemon Go to host Holi event for trainers in India

Pokemon Go is also making two new T-shirt avatar items inspired by Holi for trainers worldwide.

Pokemon Go will host an in-game event on the occasion of Holi in India. This Pokemon Go event will be available for trainers in India. It's also making two new T-shirt avatar items inspired by Holi for trainers worldwide. The new items will be available for free in the in-game shop from March 26 onwards.

The Pokemon Go Holi event is scheduled for March 28 from 10:00 am to 20:00 pm IST. During this event, Incense will attract Pokemon representing the different colours such as Bulbasaur, Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Alolan Grimer, Seel, Marill, Sunkern, Murkrow, Slugma, Aron, Trapinch, and Drifloon.

Pokemon Go will also host exclusive Festival of Colors timed research tasks, and trainers who complete them will get these rewards -

Poké Balls, Great Balls, and Ultra Balls

Razz Berries, Pinap Berries, Nanab Berries, Golden Razz Berry, and Silver Pinap Berry

Dragon Scale, Sun Stone, and Sinnoh Stone

Mega Energy for the following Pokémon: Venusaur, Charizard, Blastoise, Beedrill, Pidgeot, Gengar, and Ampharos.

Other items like Hyper Potions, Super Incubator, and Premium Battle Pass

An encounter with Alolan Muk, the colorful Sludge Pokémon!

The in-game shop will also have two event boxes including a 100 PokeCoin box containing 30 Poke Balls, a Lucky Egg, and 10 Pinap Berries. It will also have a free box containing three Incense.

Pokemon Go is also hosting the India Wayfarer Challenge that is currently underway, and will continue till March 26. In this event, eligible trainers in India or those who review Indian Wayspots can participate by reviewing Wayspot nominations. Trainers will get rewards depending on the number of Wayspots approved during the challenge. Rewards include Smeargle appearing more often in snapshots, free bundle in the shop with 20 Poke Balls, and more.
